SalsaNor's Rueda Congress and WADF are happy and proud to have taken the challenge of organizing a World Championship of Rueda de Casino. And for having the opportunity to host such a fun event for five amazing rueda teams:
It was thrilling experience with great tension and exitement in the air at the Roskilde Congress Center during Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th of September.
Our judges Alberto Valdez (CU), Andria Panagi (CY), Esteban Isnardi (UR), Nikola Medic (SB) and Yohan Corrioso (CU) came prepared and highly concentrated for their task to decide which team to be the World Champion of Rueda de Casino. And the runner-up, third, fourth and fifth place. The order came out as listed above.
We would like to express our gratitude once again to all the participating teams, for your effort in preparing your ruedas for the championship and for joining us in Denmark.
We also thank everyone that came to watch and cheer and give all their support to the competing teams, and made the atmosphere so fantastic!
Then we wish to mention our scrutineer and WADF president Nils-Håkan Carlzon for keeping control of the judges votings.
Thank to our amazing Master of Ceremony Rohan Brown for taking us through the whole event from the first rounds to the finals, in such an elegant and fun way that only you can! Finally, a huge thank you to the DJs and the volunteers that were almost as nervous as the contestants, running around behind the curtains in order to make everything perfect. Your job is the most important, because without all these helpings hands there is no event!!

The event will take place at the Roskild Congress Center.
First rounds Thursday Sep 3rd at 19:00 and the finals Friday Sep 4th at 22:00.
74 dancers representing 6 different countries are registered for the championship.
€1000 EURO goes to the winning team,
€500 EURO to the 2nd place, and
€250 EURO for 3rd.

The enrollment for new teams for the Rueda de Casino WADF World Championship 2015 is now closed, as announced. 7* teams are enrolled to be competing for the WADF World Champion title in Rueda de Casino 2015:

We are proud to announce:
The Rueda de Casino WADF World Championship 2015 is now confirmed.
We currently have 4 rueda teams registered, including more than 60 dancers, and more teams are in the process of enrolling. We still encourage rueda teams around the world to get organized and join the World Championship 2015 in Roskilde.
If your team is still thinking about enrolling - this is your chance!
May: To get the lowest participant fee, teams must enroll no later than May 31st.
Participant fee will increase from €20 to €25 June 1st.
June:
All teams participating in the competition must be enrolled no later than June 30th.

Individual rooms for practising during the day and refreshments for each team will be provided throughout the competition days.
Note also that there is a low-budget accomodation alternative for the participating rueda teams - only €12 per night incl. breakfast.

To allow more teams he enroll for the Rueda de Csino WADF World Championship 2015 the enrollment deadline is changed from May 30th to June 30th 2015.
Also the announced price increase is changed from April 15th to May 30th.
Now is your chance! Get your team organized and join the official Rueda World Championship. Enroll your team no later than June to participate, and no later than May to get the lowest enrollment fee.

The enrollment price for the Rueda de Casino World Championship will increase in 10 days. Note that World Champ contestants get the entire championship fee deducted from the Rueda congress pass when signing up before April 15th.
The price for the Rueda congress pass will also go up in 10 days, so this is the time to get organized! Make sure to sign up for the Rueda Congress in couples to get the lowest price.

The sign-up for SalsaNor's Rueda Congress 2015 is planned to open in February, and ruedacongress.com is updated with information about programme, the first names in the artist lineup, prices, venue and more.
The confirmed artists are Alberto Valdez & Andria Panagi,
Rohan Brown, Pablo Miranda, Nikola Medic, Esteban Isnardi, Erodys Castillo & Tenna Qvist and Bernt Rygg. And more to be announced.

Accomodation for competitors
All dancers in the championship will be offered simple and affordable accomodation alternatives if this is preferred to the Rueda Congress hotel.
This alternative will also be available until Sunday Sep 6th.
More detailed information will be provided in March.
Rooms for practice prior to the competition and a rehearsel on the competition floor will also be provided.
Easy enrollment
To enroll for the World Championship you need a Rueda team (4 to 8 couples), a team name, a team contact and enrollment fee (€20 per dancer).

The following 6 songs are planned being used in the first rounds of the Rueda de Casino World Championship 2015, on Thursday Sep 3rd.
The list will be confirmed March 1st 2015.
Approximately 3 minutes will be played from each song in the contest.
You can listen to these song from this playlist (Soundcloud).
The competing teams will not know in advance which of the songs they will be dancing to.
In the finals on Friday Sep 4th the teams will dance to music of their own choice.

The enrollment fee is set to €20 per dancer in this World Championship.
Note that competing dancers will get a €20 discount on SalsaNor's Rueda Congress Pass 2015!
The announced increase in enrollment fee is changed from February 1st to April 15th. From 15th of April enrollment fee will increase to €25 per dancer (Rueda Congress Pass discount remains at €20).
If your rueda team is planning on joining the World Championship, we recommend signing up as soon as possible to help us plan the event, and before April 15th to save some money.

SalsaNor and World Artist Dance Federation
(WADF) proudly announce an official WADF World Championship of Rueda de Casino.
This is a great opportunity to show your rueda enthusiasm and skills, and to experience some of the best rueda teams in the world!
The Rueda de Casino WADF World Championship will take place on the first two days of SalsaNor’s Rueda Congress 2015 in Roskilde, Denmark, Sep 3rd - 6th.
Enrollment and rules
Enrollment for dance teams will open in November 2014.
The practical organisation of the competition will follow the rules, and will to some extent depend on the number of enrolled teams.
Dancers participating in the World Championship will get a discount on SalsaNor's Rueda Congress pass, details are expected to be online at ruedacongress.com January 2015.
NOTE!
All teams are recommend to enroll as early as possible, to ensure that there will be a sufficient amount of teams to run the Rueda de Casino World Championship 2015.
The teams are also recommended to not make non-refundable financial commitments until the competition is confirmed (as soon as a sufficient amount of teams has enrolled).
